The image shows Barack and his wife Michelle embracing one another. The Associated Press chose this image because it depicts Barack as a family man with wholesome values. The fact that he is happily married shows he can get along with others and compromise, which adds to his credibility for the white house. The image is taken as the couple is smiling, which adds to the view of Barack as a man who is outgoing, friendly, and is a people person.

I agree with Matthew. This picture clearly shows Obama as a wholesome man. The person who chose to use this picture wants to portray Obama in a positive light.
This is stupid. I know politcal canidates use pictures like this all the time but c'mon. Barack really has no polltical expierence. No real plans for health care or the Iraq war. He does not belong in the White House and he is just a By-product from Oprah the hut. If you ask me i am voting for Mike "BALLBUSTING" Huckabee.
The picture clearly shows how Michelle Obama supports her husband's campaign. Media wants us to see that Barack's family, more importantly his wife, can serve as an influence among all voters.
I agree with Christian people use their wives all the time but dont you think that it is a little underhanded. People should vote for canidates based on their political views and nothing else.
showing obama as a family man wont help him win the election all this talk about of hes using his wife whatever is total b.s. fact is hes half black so hes lost the southern vote and hes half white so he lost the inner city black vote. now had that been a picture with oprah he'd have every woman in america voting for him because for some reason oprah is god. oh and by the way Matt is a muppet because he's only useful if jerry shoves his hand up him.
